If you have been alive past 18, and often before, you have been bruised and smothered by events, people, and circumstances. One of the promises about Jesus is that he will not break a bruised reed, nor snuff out a smouldering wick. Hang in there. God loves us.

First day of my sabbatical
Wow! I’m kind of scared. What do I do or better yet, what do I not do on a sabbatical. I’ve been reading “The Rest of God” And resonate with the thought that a Sabbath dedicates the time to God. So, during my sabbatical I am trying to be fully present in my relationship with God. (Not even sure what all the implications of that are.)
I find myself wrestling with my own arrogance when I wonder if God really can get by without me. I’d never voice it that way, it sounds so bad, but when I look at my attitude I wonder if that isn’t really what a dark corner of my heart believes. Father, forgive me.
Anyway, stay tuned. I may need someone to talk me off the ledge after a couple of weeks.

Finding My Way Back to God video
I just watched this video from a Stadia Church. Wow, I’ve got wet eyes and a renewed sense of why I work for Stadia. http://www.vimeo.com/8696933
